KUMARE 10th Anniversary in Polillo, Philippines
On September 5, 2009 350 women who are members of KUMARE in Polillo, Polillo Island, Quezon province gathered for their 10th anniversary. It was a very joyful occasion beginning with a parade which was followed by a full days program. A highlight of the day was the presentation of gowns that had been made from recycled materials. These showed the creative abilities of the members. Each center presented a cultural item. Many of the members received certificates of achievement and recognition.
